Context

As part of the expansion of its audit practice, our firm is building a pool of expert consultants to be mobilised on a project-by-project basis for accounting, financial and compliance audit assignments — particularly for development programmes funded by national and international donors (World Bank, AfDB, UNDP, EU, AFD, USAID, GIZ…).

Key responsibilities

  • Audit of financial statements of development projects and programmes
  • Verification of expenditure compliance with donor rules
  • Assessment of internal control systems of audited entities
  • Audit of procurement and resource management processes
  • Drafting of audit reports and formulation of recommendations
  • Presentation of findings to the engagement manager and clients

Required profile

  • Master's degree (Bac+5) in Accounting, Finance, Audit or equivalent
  • Minimum 7 years of external audit experience including 4 years at senior level
  • Proven experience auditing donor-funded development projects (World Bank, AfDB, UN…)
  • Strong command of ISA, SYSCOHADA, IPSAS, IFRS standards
  • CPA, ACCA, CIA or CISA certification — an asset
  • Fluent French required — professional English strongly preferred
